Blog Post 1 - October 6, 2025
In the first weeks of class, we discussed the topic of digital security and safety. What stood out to me the most was the habit of changing your passwords every six months. On top of the constant changing of passwords, I need different passwords for each account I own. So that will be something I will need to implement.
For my story idea, I have chosen to talk about travel baseball's negative impact on the youth. I am excited to get my sources together and start conducting my interviews. It will be most intriguing to see the perspectives that I get from each of my sources. I am most interested in the college recruiters and how they see youth travel baseball.
Blog Post 2 - October 29, 2025
It is about halfway through the semester, and things are starting to pick up. I have turned in my drafts for my youth travel baseball story, and I am working on my social media post currently. I have been having a good time working with CapCut to make edits for my post.
I am struggling with finding data for the infographic portion of my project. So I will most likely need to pivot from trying to find travel ball costs in San Diego County and look for numbers elsewhere.

What stood out the most to me was the screening event itself. I personally didn’t think that I was going to be interested in the show itself, but by the end of the episode, I was extremely invested in the love stories. I had never heard of matchmaking being a profession, so it was somewhat of a shock.
Unfortunately, I have seen Muslims presented in the news in a negative light. Especially because of the 9/11 attacks, it has been hard to find anything positive regarding Muslims. I have seen in the news too, as being immediate suspects whenever there are terrorist attacks in the United States.
Thankfully, one of my best friends in elementary school was a Muslim. He and his family were no different than mine, and they were doing their best to adjust to living in a new country. So individually, I have learned not to judge by appearances and to hear everyone out.
I think Muslims as a whole should be covered, not necessarily “properly”, but just as anyone else would. I believe that coverage of how they celebrate events and certain holidays would be very advantageous.
Blog Post 3 - November 21, 2025
At this point, I am going to be publishing my youth travel baseball story on my website. It is nice to see all the work I have been putting into this project finally coming together. Overall, this project has been an amazing learning experience for me and for my career.
I think what I took the most from this was the gathering of information and the creation of my TikTok-style video. The information gathering wasn't easy, but I was very fortunate to find good sources that were willing to share information with me. For the video, it was good that I learned how to edit video and use audio, as for my future jobs, I see myself doing a lot of that.
